How long does it take to break this MFer in?

So my first 1000 was used and that thing rocked for sure... my homie spilled a beer on it, fuked it up and he paid for a new one. it's almost 7 months later, i use this at least 6 hours a day (sometimes 16) and shyts still stiff... sometimes my velocity on a 2/4 snare that im bangin solo and straight up will be 127 127 8 127 for two bars... i know on that third one that i hit it like the others... and even if i didnt, it wasnt THAT much of a difference.

am i gonna have to buy nyms kit? and, more importantly, is nym gonna fuk me over since i got after him on this forum? haha jp bruh

this aint a deal breaker as im a step edit wiz but i feel like i cant do some of the stuff i can do on say a kb because of it... i feel like im almost forced to use tap tempo during fills and all that because a lot of my freehand hits dont even register

is it a pad setting that im missing or do i need to hire one of my hispanic bredren to sit here when im sleeping and bang on the pads for me?

how long did it take yours to soften up? i wanna know yalls experiences

so you have old pads, not new ones?
also, did you keep the old mpc around? good for spare parts
ps my pad fix is "discontinued" consider buying the akai fix and making it your last akai purchase

some mpc1000 users have purchased a new mpc1000 w/ akai fixed pads a guitar center and then swapped the pads out and returned the new mpc, keeping the old pads. just thought i'd let you know what some people do. i cannot legally speak about my feelings on this.
