not enough memory?

I just bout about 4gb of samples off of ebay and i have a 20gb harddrive and 32 mb memory in my mpc 1000 and it want download all the sounds i was wondering is it because of the small memory?

If you have 4gb of samples and 20gb harddrive you should be able to transfer all of your sounds. Are you trying to load the whole library on one program?

I just plug my usb into my computer and mpc and i drag and drop but when i go to look for my sounds they're not all in there maybe i am trying to load it all into one program

Are you sure you are looking in the hard drive and not the cf card?

i kno you said 4gb of sounds.....


#2.... Did you format the HD when you installed it..... IF you got it with the MPC did you upgrade your OS... If you did, you need to format it with the OS you are using.

Yeah i have downloaded sounds to it before but maybe im putting in my autoload folder and its not my cf cuz i don't use that one of my pins broke thats why i went to harddrive...

You can not load 4 gigs of samples into a program. Ram limitations. You CAN store 4gigs of samples (in the proper format)onto a properly formatted hard drive.

Its been properly formatted this is not the first time i've loaded sounds on it with my harddrive this is just the first ive loaded something so big on there
