This may be a simple step for others, but I just want to make sure im doing things right. Im new to the MPC world, and was wondering if someone could clue me in if im doing something wrong. Heres how i sample sounds, I create a new program name it and then start sampling. I run my buddies ESX-1 Electribe into my stereo ins. The esx is full of drum sounds and everything else. ill sample each bass kick, snare, clap, etc, and assign each sound to an indiviidula pad. Now, to save, i access the save screen, i scroll to save programs setting and select my program. Now the screen comes up and says replace same samples? does this mean, the samples ive just recorded, or previous samples from another bank? Ive saved samples before, but when i access them sometimes sounds from other programs are on the bank. i.e. i will have a whole bank full of drums and a couple other things, ill save them and then ill load them later, but then a guitar stab or something else ive recorded is on that bank. Im using the old akai os from 2004, sadly. Another quick question, how do i erase a sound from a pad after ive assigned a sample to it. Saw a guy in WA with glow in the dark pads, homeade creation, or does akai put these out as a limited product?
