Looking into getting a MPC1000 and I saw some used ones on mpcstuff.com Do any of you know if this is a good place to purchase a used mpc? Kinda scared to drop 700-800 on a used item. Any suggestions?

if you're scared to drop 700-800 on a used one, just keep that and save up another couple on 100 and buy it brand new. they're going for 999 again.

mpcstuff.com has some good deals. i just picked up a black 1k with new pad upgrade, 60gb hard drive, and jj o.s. for $800. they wanted $50 for a memory upgrade but i have an old laptop with suitable memory i can take out.
i was going to order a used 1k from ebay and do all the upgrades myself, but total cost would have been very close to the price of one from mpcstuff. call me lazy but i didn't want to mess with doing everything myself this time. one of my hobbies is diy electronics and circuit bending so i do my fair share of tearing stuff apart and putting it together again.

email them because they have mpc's in stock that aren't listed on the site. there was a blue one with pad upgrade for $700.
