sound problem

Hey i've not to long ago been on here asking about this but i have every possible thing i know....Im having a problem getting the sounds that i download to my mpc when i ts hooked up to my computer to show in my mpc its showing that its in my harddrive when its hooked to the computer but when i unhook my mpc all the sounds not there! so somebody pleeeease help

Have you tried re organizing them when the MPC is mounted to the computer? this way it sould be a little easier to track down where they ended up

so i should make a seperate folder for them?

well in my case i have thousands of sounds in my MPC hd. I have about 35 seperate folders arranged by nicknames like "grimey drums" "clean drums" "sampled drums" etc. this just makes it way easier to locate them. Plus in the event you cant find a sound or a library you know where to look. I bought my MPC used and it had some sounds in it but the previous owner was a slob and there were beats, samples, and all kinds of crap in one big folder. I dumped everything to my computer, reorganized them and then loaded them back into the MPC. Some cats could care less but im big on house keeping.

are your sounds in .wav format?

Thanks bro. imma try that when i get hm today..And yes i think they're in wave format i ordered these sounds off of ebay and they said they're for akai mpc plus its just like i download a certain amount of sounds and when it get to that amount it stop show and i have a 20 g harddrive in my mpc
