previous track pauses when I want to lay the drums down!!!!!

For example if i have the sample on track 1 and i want to lay the drums down on track 2 it wont let me lay the drums down becuase track 1 keeps pausing.Even when im not recording and just playing track one i cant play the drums at the same time becuase the track keeps pausing.It seems like i have to get softer drums all the time and can never lay down drums with a little more "umph" in them.but this time even the softer drums are causing the previous track to pause.

I already found the problem!thanks for nothing people!...haha just playing

I was accidently trying to lay drums down on the pgm"sample1" instead of the pgm"program1"...I believe i said that right
