Noob question...What sample rate/ file format do samples req

I have all kinds of samples cut up in protools and I need to know what specific sample specifications are required for the 1K to read them from the card.

is it 44.1/24bit or what?

I did search...for the record.

Sample rate returns many different topics. I couldnt even find the frequently asked questions page.
