Iv'e been reading through the post on using a footswitch with the mpc1000 but I ain't quite clear about it . So I thought I'd post my question instead .

Basically , I play in band that uses an mpc 1000 live. I can't be bothered to set up a song ( working out the bars etc) as sometimes we improvise where certain sequences should come in . What I would like to know is if it is possible to switch back and forth through sequences through using a footswitch .

Iv'e had a look at the footwsitch menu in 'other' but it doesn't appear to give the option of 'next sequence' or 'previous sequence" .

Any help would be appreciated.

I need a feature like this for the same reason. I´ll write to jj, maybe he can squeeze it in on os1 or at least include it in os 2.

Only thing i found already is this: in song mode when playing f6 switches to the next sequence, and you can set up a footswitch to f6. (dont know if that works with the akai os, didnt help me either)

Presently, you can't do it with a standard footswitch. However, if you use a midi footswitch that can send program change commands, you could use it with the "sequence change by program change" option on the midi menu.
