Time stretchin

Wussup guys I finally got to get back on my baby cause I havent been able to use it for a long time. And I was just wondering WHY, when you time stretch, the sample sounds so low quality and bubbly. It sucks is there a way to get a better quality sound when time strethcing? And I get the same low quality sound when I pitch shift too!

get a record player and timestretch before recording into your mpc, or use software on ur computer to do this before u start sampling on the mpc.

or if you had a shitty sound since the beginning, then it will only get shittier.

are u making it go fater or slower? cus i only get the "low quality and bubbly" when i make it slow

yeah im having a similar problem when i try to timestretch...

it sounds horrible...

and it wasnt even a shit sound to begin with

the timestretch function on the MPC is not that great...

better off stretching it on your computer using some decent DAW software.

but stretching anything too much will always yield fairly shady results.

ACID PRO 6.0 could work for this task, or even cubase, even tho cubase seems to sometimes give that same effect u were trying to avoid. just test ur luck with software.

anywho,the time stretch thing is bugging the heck out of me as well.i guess i'll try these methods before going out and getting a better TT..money is a problem..

Most software u use to render ur beats will have Time Stretching and Transposing or somthing similar to it. Little tip tho... Transpose the beat without the drums, hi hats etc. first. Then go bakk and add them, that way ur drums don't sound high pitched, and make sure that the tempo remains the same during the transposing process or else ur drums will no longer be on beat.
