MPC 1000 Ram?

hey what good everyone, just wanted to know, has anyone on here not used the akai ram.

because i know that it looks pretty much like laptop ram, anyone can give me some insite on this.

and if i dont gotta use the akai ram, what would be the most common brand, that is being used?
