Card says its full... but it shouldn't be

i made a song on the mpc, and when i go to save it it said the card was full....so i usb'd it and then deleted a bunch of stuff so there is only like 4 sounds on it...but it still says the card is full when i press do it to save. its a 2GB card and im tryin to save a 4:30 long song. i dont wanna have to turn the mpc off either cuz it will erase my song. any advice

if you're using a mac... it may just be moving the files to the trashcan... make sure to empty the trashcan before you eject the flashcard.

That trashcan crap happened to me once on my PSP's Memory stick Pro Duo. I deleted stuff but the memory available stayed the same. I use windows. I have not been able to recreate the problem. I couldn't have been THAT drunk....
