Volume knob hiss

hiss when you turn the volume knob in REC MODE all the way up is normal?
Same goes for REC GAIN knob


YES I KNOW IT IS A NEWB QUESTION! I want to see if my machine isn't faulty.

yeah you know i only just now noticed it
i can also hear my HD spinning up/cooling down
