In Trim mode (Trim tab) you can set the Start and End points - for the whole sample, set Start=0, End =as high as poss.
Remember the top row of Pads have special functions in Trim mode - "Play Loop", "Play To", "Play From", "Play All", as labeled.
"From" and "To" depend on what's selected (Start or End), so if you select "Start", the "Play To" plays from 0 to the Start, so you might get nothing or a "thp" sound. This confused me a bit, but I now use them when testing loop points etc. The other rows play Start -> End.

If you hit "Play All", and still don't hear the whole sample, then the sample's not right..

im aware of all of those things, the sample is just cut short, is there a maximum length one sample can be? there are fairly long loops im talkin about like say, over 5 secconds almost 10 in some cases.... is this the problem.. can the mpc not take loops that long..

the preset for the Decay envolope(SP?) is set a 5 so if you have a LOOOONG sampe then it would make a big difference. Check that
but I am also have the same kind of problem where I have a 4 bar loop and it plays cool but sometimes it fades out

I haven't personally sampled longer than aboot 15 secs, and that was fine. Anything more is a project for the weekend, I'll let you know if I find anything...
