If you have a CF card reader and the RAM upgrade you can record the song to the MPC in the sample mode "Main out" Instead of Analog.

It will convert the song into a WAV file. Take the WAV file from the CF and put in on the computer and convert the WAV to MP3.

That should work. Works for me

hey i was gonna post a new topic but its similar to this one so i thought id just do it here. I have the jjos1 and the ram upgrade. i made a song in song mode. then i converted the whole thing to one sequence. when i play it back though it messes up. in my song i have one sequence that is 2 bars and others that are 4. do they all have to be the same? like it played the 1st sequence then it just starts skipping and not playing right.

also in regards to recording the song in the mpc. i know how to do that(main out etc) but only with the sequences . i couldn't record the whole song at the same time; only individual sequences. also it seems to lose volume during this process. i messed with the record gain but nothing. these last two aren't major problems but thanks in advance if you have any ideas.

there are tons of usb and firewire audio interfaces out there. check out some reviews, compare prices, you'll find something that suits your needs...

eg. presonus firebox is tight (only firewire) or edirol ua-25 (usb) could be nice ...
