damn i love chopping up samples but i had one problem i have two questions actually if anyone can answer them. i chopped up some drums that i got from an old earl hines early jazz record. i assigned them .... layed down a beat and it was extremely fancy. anyway. i went to go lay down another sample over it but it seemed like it couldn't contend with the drums. i had it on poly, tried it on mono. any advice is greatly appreciated. also, is there a way to raise/lower the volume of lets say a bass drum that i sampled off the record. what i did was i took the sample but it was to quiet so i went back into trim, boosted the volume and made a new one. it wasn't any louder though. so just to clarify im asking:
1.) how come the the drums i sampled completely overtook(volume-wise) another sample i tried to lay down?
2.) is there a simple way in the mpc to raise or lower whats on a certain pad?
once again thanks and i hope someone can help me with this.
