MPC 1K IN LIVE SETTING

Looking for examples of how people are using the MPC 1000 live. My situation may be a bit unique. I play a real drumkit and want to use the mpc in a live setting with a rockband for playing pre-recorded loops and maybe the basslines as well. It appears that most people Use the MPC for the drumbeats and that the large majority of the music is hiphop. So I will be using the mpc to play loops that I (and other musicians) will be playing instruments along with. I imagine I will need to run a click track to myself via headphones so to avoid any train wrecks. Most of the loops are generated from synths ( A Micron, and a MicroKorg) and we cant decide whether it would be better to run the loops on the MPC via MIDI from the synths or to pre-record/sample them on the MPC and let it do all the work itself. Anyone out there that is doing something similar? I know bands like the Raveonettes and Blonde Redhead play against some pre-recorded back tracks but there isnt much info on how they are doing it and how I can do the same with the MPC 1K.

im gonna be starting a jazz trio this summer but i have no drummer. so it will be me on trumpet, a bass player and thempc. im just gonna program all the drum parts. its gonna be awesome.

Live setting is as follow: I use the mpc1000 (drum parts) and ableton live6 (loops resampled from the mpc) along with a bass player. We're into breakbeat around 110bpm.

I am knew to MPC and i too play drums in a live band so i have bought x2 Roland PD08 Triggers pad and using an Alessis Trigger I/O. I can now play samples and loops no problems, but my next issue i need help with is to set up a metronome so i can hear it and not the audience whilst using the samples throughout the songs... any suggestions? thx

im starting a new live show soon where i use my 1k to trigger drum loops and some other simple melodies and basslines. i use that alongside a sp404 (for other sampled melodies) and an mc505 (for synth lines)... it's a kind of trip-hop sound, but i like to call it psych-hop. (psychedelic hip-hop)
