problems with chopping

hello i have an mpc 1000,
but i have a problem, i can not slice the sample.

so, when i press on the mode button and than pad 6
i see not the slice tool, i see only trim, loop and edit, can anybody help me?

go to akaipro.com and download the latest operating system and load it to your MPC

better yet, get the free JJ OS

better yet, give jj sum money and get the ultimate jj os!

My mPC1000 ...welll When I want to edit a SampleSO i .press MODE"TRiM want to slice regions from a sample...but theres no SLice next to the edit. whats wrong... one thing else. when i press the edit button...shouldn't there be More edit functions... I only have three when i spin the DATa wheel...like Discard,Extract,Noralize.,wheresPatch phrase, pitch shiftt,reverse, time stretch,Silence,DELEte... SOme one what up..Is it my MPC???
