MPC for live loops???

Hey yo

so i've been thinking lately about using my 1000 as a performance tool in DJing... has anyone here done this and how??

i haven't tried it yet, but my main thinking (aside from triggering samples) is to use it as a looping tool. But there is no way to use the MPC to loop audio on the fly, is there? It would be a case of deciding which loops i wanted and syncing the tempo during the set.

does anyone have any ideas or have you ever used yours in a similar capacity?? i wanna hear that shit.

i'd imagine the 1k would not be a good looping tool
be better off with ableton live for that, i'd think

1k is definitely not ideal for live looping -- none of the MPC's are

a Boss Loopstation pedal would do the job nicely though, they are also pretty affordable

otherwise you would have to prepare your sets in advance, do all your tempo matching and create your loops before hand. then set up appropriate sequences with the right tempo and number of measures so that your loops will fit nicely
