question about new MPCs.

i have been reading the threads here and the newest model of the MPC 1000 which is shipping is the one with a black back casing

is this correct?

i was also reading a thread here where people with the newest MPCs were saying that their models were shipped with the 128mb ram installed. is this true?

Nah dude, I think they still come with the standard amount of RAM (16MB) but they now come with a 128MB Compact Flash Card loaded with samples instead of the 32MB cards they used to ship with. Also, I got a model with a black back but still got the old pads.

i thought all the new model 1000s with the black back came with the new pads already installed. is there anyway to know if the MPC has the new pads before you buy??

no need for that.
just pull up the upper-left corner on pad 13. if the pad rubber comes out, then they're the new pads.
