effects

how can you assign effects to just one certain pad?? when i do it the effect is for the whole sequence. i want it for just one track like just the kick or just the snare. not every single thing. thanks.

For the MPC1000 I Mode Effects and Set one or both of the FX (FX1-FX2). Then I click on the tab "GO2MIX" Then the Tab FXSEND. Once on this screen I hit the pad I want to set the effects on so its highlighted and then turn it from off to FX1 or FX2.
