Hi, I bought an mpc 1000 recently and I transferred some sounds from pc to it. When I go to load them I see it says wave free = 0.0kb. Anyone know why this is ? It came with 128mb flash card too. The only free space i can see is the Seq. Help please!

If i'm understanding correctly it seems that your problem is that all your temp memory is used up, what you can do is purge all the samples that are unesed by programs and this should free up some space. Also look into getting the EXM128 memory upgrade

It's not clear what youre doing. I see two possibilities:

1. Your wav. files gotta be 16 bit 44.1 KHZ otherwise the MPC won't load them.

2. Loading the samples from your pc to the flash card is not enough to see/hear/use them. You have to load them from the flash card into the MPC's RAM memory (see manual).

How many samples you can load depends of the available RAM memory (that's something different than the CF cards memory). The MPC has max 128 RAM memory.

push these buttons in exact order, Mode(is like a shift key to access menus of the pads) + pad #7 (will bring you to the program edit page, this is also the page where you can assign samples to the pads)+ F6 Purge + F5 Do It. It's that simple.
