How do you do a memory test?

Someone posted it here before and I can't find it even with search. I just bought EXM128 and I would like to do the memory test to make sure everything's kosher.

Also, after putting in my new RAM. When I hooked up the 1000 to my PC via USB. My PC treated the 1000 like it was new hardware again. Why is that?

I haven't found it in the manual either
