second faulty unit?

What's up I wrote in today about how I had a bum output on my mpc1000,
and how this was extremely hard to figure out never using one before.
So I tell my local music shop to get me a new one, that takes a week
so now i'm jonesing for a whole week to make a beat finally it comes,
and I'm jammin out on the new one and the screen goes black.
What the f***. I can still see the stuff but it's under a black tint.
can anyone help? Or did i get screwd.

though in my experience it's not surprising to hear of faulty units, it just sounds like your contrast isn't adjusted

refer to your manual to find how to change the contrast and you should be good to go (let's hope!)

I thought that how the contrast is changed was kinda strange when I first used the mpc1000.

I guess I was pressing shift over and dialing to adjust the tempo, and
there it is . I just glad it was something easy.
