Suppose I have a nice drum pattern in mind, and the tempo is 90BPM.

I know i can change pitch, tone, etc through the MPC1000, but what is the best way to change the speed of a sample?

For instance, say I hear a sample of a woman's voice, but it doesn't fit perfectly in my 90BPM sequence. What are the proper steps to make that sample fit the sequence (without time stretching).

I've looked in the manual, and experimented, but couldn't seem to get it to work.

So instead of stressing over it for another day I figured someone could explain it quite easily?

Thanks!

This is where [tune] comes in to play. First try to get the sample as fast or as slow as you can with what ever you are sampling. {preferably a turntable} But if not then use [tune]. I hope this helps.
