forgive me if this is noobish, but I haven't figured out how to add reverb to samples I've loaded on the pads.

is reverb even a function on the mpc? I'm confused because there's a reverb option under "effects" where you can do low pass / filters, but it never seems to make a difference when I change the reverb settings.

I know my beats would have much more depth if i could put reverb / echo on certain samples, and it's frustrating because it's so easy to do on FL Studio, or GURU

it easy to do on the MPC as well.

you have to go the mixer page --- one of the tabs down the bottom (function keys)
should FX as an option.

hit that, choose which effect to route each pad through --- 1 or 2.

play with it for a while... check your manual. it's easy to use, but the effects aren't amazing.

totally useable tho.

hope this helps :)

no worries! :)

don't forget --- if you want to add more than two effects you can resample your sound and
assign it to another pad.

maybe try completely effecting your sample (ie 100% wet mix) then resample --- that way
you don't ruin your original sound, and you can drop the fx in and out a little easier.

enjoy!

How about when you wanna add slightly different effects around the whole song?
Won't the editing of effects affect to others earlier added effects?

I re-read that and it does sound crazy but I understood it, I think. :)

sorry mate! didn't even think of the language barrier --- you should put your location in your profile.

do you understand what i mean about re-sampling?

look it up in the manual.

I'll check on that "re-sampling"-thing and I added my location to the profile, yay!
Got my first mpc yesterday so I got lot of groundwork to do.
I fell in love imediately I touched those pads. :D

I've read somewhere that an elf language of Tolkien (Lord of the Rings) was inspired by Finnish. It looks wonderful. :)
