hi there, ive noticed in most of my projects when i record from the mpc1000 to the computer the tempo will drift after a bar or 2, ive not got it synced to the pc but the tempo is set to same as mpc. In both sonar6 and tracktion2 this is the same so would lead me to belive mpc is the culprite, sometimes you can hear it drop a beat by a few millisec or even double up on a snare hit makeing it phaze out, is this just my mpc, will syncing it to the computer fix this, or am i being too fussy on it, after all its not hard to manually fix the tempo drift, but when combining the mpc with lots of recorded instrument tracks on the pc when they are all locked in to the daw sequencer it would be lovely if it came out consistently on the beat.
thanks

yes you have to sync, you'll need a midi interface to connect MPC to comp. Set MPC as slave (sync in) ,your DAW as master clock to output MTC.
