I am not sure if this has been brought up or not, but I want to know if anybody else has experienced this.
I finally got my Mpc 1000 on Tuesday I was really excited etc.
I played around with it for a while listened to some of the songs that automatically load up when you turn on the mpc.
Everything is working fine THEN I take out the 128mb card and insert it into the slot as instructed (aka looking at the blue piece of paper and following the instructions).
I go to the load menu and try to load shit from the akai CF card, every fuken time I try and load the sounds this msg came up "insert memory card".
I am 100% sure it was inserted correctly and I was following standard procedure (lol) when trying to load up the sounds .
So that really pissed me off faulty card reader=redundant MPC
^^Has anybody had this problem before?
Anyways I start looking through the manual and page 47 is half ripped WTF??
The quick start guide has finger print marks on it and the play button is slightly dirty.
I think to myself wtf did this shop just ship me 2nd hand/floor model or faulty mpc?
I called the shop (I ordered it from a shop in Melbourne, I live in Perth but it was cheaper to get one from there) and talked to the guy I had been in contact with for a while now.
He said to me because the card reader does not work and the page in the manual is half ripped you should return it and we will give you a brand new 1.
He did not say anything about return to sender so I won't have to pay for shipping, I was also pissed off and forgot to ask about it.
I send it back 2 days later with a letter stating the problems and the request for a new mpc.
As soon as I get home from the post office I send an email to the guy asking if I will be reimbursed for the shipping cost and telling him that I have done what I was told to do.
It has been 2days now no reply.
If this does not get sorted out soon I am going to air this bs shop out.
I hope this works out well because they fooked up and I want to start using the mpc 1000 before uni starts up again.
Damm long post
