i'm still looking to see some hi-rez pics of the blue lcd screens after installation. what i've seen so far, i get the sense that those screens might be a bit hard to read or cause some eyestrain with the light blue text on the darker blue background.

anyone who's got one installed, please post up some clear pics of the blue screen in action. bonus points for pics of some of the different JJ OS screens on the blue lcd, too.

Sorry guys, I' just seeing this post. I will get mine up tonight. I think the only thing that I have an issue with is the splash screen upon load... it looks ok, but the green screen did look better. I have the RUN_DMC splash screen... But all-in-all, I love how it looks. I work a lot at night and keep the lights out and the blue screen does help with wear and tear on eye site. I have some small LED lights that I have under my shelf of drafting desk and the green would kind of kill the light because the LED's are kind of white, while the blue screen goes right with the LEDs and will not through your eyes for a loop.... sounds petty, but just some things that I have noticed.

I'll post them up tonight or early tomorrow....

i haven't seen a blue screen first hand, but as far as the splash screen looking weird... maybe you can invert the colors and save the BMP file again... might look better... i just have no means of testing it.

And theres one of the dopest mpc1000's ive ever seen. Are you planning on doing any more mods with it besides the other LED's? (Painting, endcaps, colored pads etc. etc..)

again, props on tha dope 1000

Thanks man!
I'm looking forward to buying wood or aluminum sides (depending what'll be available and what looks better).
If the black pads are significantly softer and more responsive than the grey pads (as someone mentioned in another thread), I'll buy those as well.
I'm also thinking about replacing the F1-F6 buttons to dark blue. I havent decided on that yet, since I'll need to see what I can do with the other white buttons.
All the grey knobs, sliders, CF reader faceplate and cursor buttons were just added last week... so I'm glad there's no remnants of the blue unit which left a bad taste in my mouth after the b-stock replacement fiasco back in 2005.

Looks good Tao.
If you or anyone else don't have "before pics" don't worry about it.
I really hope my LEDs arrive by Monday. They're taking longer to ship this time around, but it'll be worth the wait. After I install them, I'll wait till I have new sides or black pads before posting new pics (which may be a few weeks, since I just put a deposit on a new guitar yesterday).

i'm wondering... does it really look bad installing a blue screen and not changing the LEDs to blue... i mean do the green LEDs look annoying with the blue screen or sumthin? i'm just curious...

now you guys have the blue screen, what do you think of it? better vision at certain angle or any improvement? only a comestic change? Difference between needlework and mpcstuff? feel free to tell the truth
