Digital in/out not working

I have an MPC1000 and a delata audiophile 2496 soundcard. I bought a s/pdif cable and am trying to connect them but it doesn´t work.
I tried it with Logic 5.5 and SOund Forge 6.0 but could not make it work.
Anyone suceeded in this already??
Any advice on this?

you have to Activate Digital connectivity in the delta control panel on your computer.

thats why it aint working.

basically open the delta control panel for the audiophile 2496, then select SPDIF.

I did that, but it still doesn´t work.
Do you know if I have to set anything in MPC??

and on the 1k in record mode u have to switch it from analog to digital I believe! Try that out and see if that works!
