Quick Questions regarding my MPC 1000

I never really noticed these questions until I began to get deeper into my production, but: I am using the Akai OS (currently) not JJ Os.


1. Can I save a program of my drums, but NOT the drums in a folder and have the drums uploaded when I select the program? (The drums are all on the same CF card as this program file but different folder)

2. Let's say I have a 8 bar sequence and I am repeating 2, 4 bar sequences, which = 8 sequences but I don't want to actually play it that long. Can I play it for just 2 sequences out of the 8 and copy/paste it 3 more times under the step edit menu?

1. I wish you could do that but im pretty sure you have to have all the files in the same folder for the program to load them.

2. I don't know if you mean 8 bars instead of sequences but u can copy bars using MODE> PAD13 SEQ EDIT then press f2 to go to bars (thats on the JJ OS but im pretty sure it was the same on the akai). I dont know if u can copy whole bars in step edit but doing it the way I just explained works for me
