If you could, you should sticky this with a ridiculous colored font with a catchy title so that people can see it from a mile away. I can already see this thread drowning in a few days. Good thought though after these last few days...

It's not my setup, it's just some diagrams that should help clear up some things for peeps. Like Coz mentions, lately this same question has been asked a lot here in the past 3 weeks and it's over and over, the same thing.

Me, I have a kybd, mpc, audio interface, pc, monitors & nothing else.
I'm a minimalist and I'm content with that.

There are several standard and non standard ways to hook up different gear, those are just a few. But yeah, pictures help sometimes. If you've ran across a good or excellent vid, post it up here. Most vids are garbage and just contain dudes talking to themselves. I'm talking about a vid that actually does some good and doesn't leave more questions than it answers ya know.

Minimal can be good. My minimal is hiding in bed with just iPad music apps. But I have to tame the many tentacled monster soon...

Edit: Meta - i'm just entering the realm of patchbays........fearing my room will look similar soon, only until the bays are setup of course :)
