recording mpc into pro tools

i have my mpc 2000xl synced to pro tools and sum ill samples i cut in my mpc. im tryna record into pro tools via the mpc using these samples that i have stored in a program on the mpc, but no waveform appears and when i play it back there is no audio. I did the handshake method with midi cables into my mbox and 1/4" from the master out of the mpc to the rca jack in the back of the mbox. sum1 please help me cuz ill b good after this

Judging by the threads you've started thus far it is evident that you have a long way to go before you make a beat in a day...

You need to spend some TIME getting to know your gear and how each piece works. You can't just buy stuff and expect to be banging out beats because you have the right equipment. Knowledge, understanding and talent also play a part in the jigsaw puzzle.

Try and get as far as you can by yourself, you'll be better off in the long run and answer many of of your own questions in the process.

Did you select the Mbox's correct inputs on the track you are trying to record? Did you watch the DVD that came with the Mbox? You should!
