Want to step it up

Anyone have an amp they can recommend for my 2500? I've been making beats with the headphones on, I'd like to step it up a notch and hook up the mpc to my home stereo system. Thanks

eh? hmm.. i wouldnt do that. based on experience of something related
when i started i used to hook up my mpc to my home stereo. and i mean it was cool but then all of a sudden my mpc fried! (JK)

when i started i used to hook up my mpc to my home stereo and well it sound good comming out of the stereo speakers, it bumped! but once i would mix out a track (well actually just resample it in my mp1k, no mixer/daw/or any other related thing to record the beat out) when i would have the track already in mp3/wav/whatever format. it wouldnt sound the same as it did on the stereo speakers. not even close.
and that was because the stereo gave it a "trick effect" i guess.
so the finished beat didn't sound good.

and up to now i still dont have a way to record my stuff out. haha but i no longer use the stereo, i just use my akg 240's.

run the mpc into the tape or line in. it will distort if you plug it into the phono in.

if you've got a decent amp and speakers they should be fine for monitoring with.

i run my studio through a vintage marantz amp with tannoy speakers. it has very good sound.

i think its time to get some active monitors instead....

invest in the future....

Thanks for the info guys. I went to Sam Ash and listened to a few. I like the Yamaha HS80.

Yeah, Yamaha, Edirol, Roland, Mackie, and JBLs are your best bet for monitors. Beware of KRK Rockits, there's been more complaints than praise about them. In fact, everywhere I go the prices for them are going down.
