5000/ triton le help somebody please!?

Hello i have a quick question anybody?
Is it possible to play a Triton le synth on the mpc5000.
How do i connect a synth for example in the "RECORD IN" jacks without having to use a DAW?
is this possible w. the 5000? Thanks! bye
