MIDI TRU?

hey dudes, just got an lexicon mx400! its got midi in , and midi tru but no out. does tru act as an out also? be handy if changes i make on the mx400 would be recorded by the mpc ! just wana know if its possible before i spend stressful hours tryna figure it out! thanks

technically a midi thru port only mirrors what the unit recieves on the midi in port.
if a musical instrument or effects unit has no midi out this mostly means the device is not generating midi data output.
this lexicon is such a device - see midi implementation chart: printed manual page 50, pdf manual page 45.

what this guy said. pretty much, midi thru is an EXACT copy of data coming from the MIDI IN of a particular device. This comes in handy when you want to connect another device (sound module, another keyboard, etc.) and add more effects for the OUTPUT.
