How to use my MPC 500 with my Microkorg without a mixer?

So,the most important part of it is in the title,my problem is,dat i dont know how to hook them up. I dont wanna sample,i wanna use the MPC with the Korg's sequencer. I tried to connect them with MIDI+Audio at the same time,all i got was the Korg playing the MPC's sounds. Is doing that without a mixer possible?

it's possible without a mixer all you have to do is connect mpc's stereo outs to korgs inputs

There's your first mistake if i'm reading this right? You will probably get better results if you sequence the Korg with the MPC.

Ive read that article bout MIDI,only problem is,that i wanna use it with an MPC,not a comp,and it doesnt write about the settings on my MPC and Microkorg. Anyone,who has the same setup as me,and knows how to do it without a mixer?
