PlZ help me I just got MPC1000 Akai and I have ?s Beats Soun

First of all, I just got a MPC1000 I am learning how to make beats. I have a few questions.

1) Do I need speakers for it or headphones? Is the headphone jack in the front right? I cannot get the sound to work and I have adjusted the volume many times? Is something muted? Thank You

2) What is a general way to start for me? What should I do once I turn it on, what are some steps to producing sounds and saving them and uploading them to my computer?

3) any important tips?

Don't be affraid to also read the rest of the manual first.

Erm, read the manual first. That's a good way to get started. Especially when you don't know how to listen to what you're doing on the machine in the first place. Basic sh*t does not need to be asked on this forum.

Headphones or speakers? Are you serious? Why don't you decide for yourself. You will get told to make that decision for yourself alot on here, so don't go asking stupid basic sh*t like that.

What should you do once you turn it on? Erm, I don't know? Do you have any idea what the machine you've just got is capable of? Have you done any research whatsoever (I doubt it, judging by your questions)?

Read the manual. We'll help you if you've got a valid question, but you'll only get some spleen venting if you persist with bullsh*t like "Where can I get sounds from?" For f*ck's sake man!

Im saying when I put in headphones or speakers the sound no sound comes out is something on mute.

did you load any samples into the mpc? the mpc is not a drum machine. its a sampler sequencer. you need to load sounds into it before you can hear anything. if you turn it on, and dont have autoload on, you only have an empty program loaded.

read the manual. read it twice.
