i done the same thing when i 1st started out and boy did these guys on here rip into me. :lol: :lol: :lol:

read the manuel man it works wonders... oh and also use the search bar in here that also helps.

reading the manual is a must, real talk.

but also, be sure to spend several hours on youtube once you get the very basics down.

youtube was a big help when i first got started on the mpc, it allowed me to figure out common strategies and to help me devise my own.

So I take it the factory sounds play ok right ? Im sure you get some demo sounds on a cf card or something ?

Do you have a CF card reader on your PC - you could try playing the file on your pc.

A lot of people (including myself) have been caught out by the fact that the sample wont play because the sampling rate isn't equal to what the mpc can read.

So take a logical approach - if you know some sounds work - right click on them on your pc and have a look at the file properties and check the bitrate.

p.s. Malakai is right - Im not a big fan of trawling through manuals - but You Tube is a great resource.
