In order to hear my mpc 4k....

Do i need studio monitors? because i just gotit and it didnt come with a manual i got the oline manual but i am still very new so can some one please fill me in...

I'd advise getting a pair of good headphones. They don't have to cost several hundreds of pounds/dollars, but they will be a good investment.

You may not be feeling too rich after just buying a 4000 - and I'd advise taking some time to research into working out the best pair of speakers/amplifiers/mixers etc.

But my opinion is - to start learning about your mpc, I'd advise getting a pair of good headphones.

This reminds me of when I got my first synthesizer module to go with my original keyboard. I MIDI'd the two together and could not figure out why I could only get sound from one at a time... I thought that the sound was sent out through MIDI. Never dawned on me that they both needed to be plugged in You mean I need a mixer now! Taught me to do my homework BEFORE buying... You'll get there grasshopper.

i can't recall if the mpc 4k has built-in speakers.

to be fair, if you're planning on mixing down your ish properly you should do some homework on monitors:

for about 300 bucks you can cop a pretty decent pair.

you should also figure that you need the proper cables, possibly an audio interface if you're also using a computer, etc.

but welcome, spend some time reading & figuring out how you want to set your studio up.
