Hello everyone, first just wanted to say that this forum is great and I cannot believe the wealth of info available, so thanks to all responsible! I'm very new to this world I got mpc2000xl just a couple of weeks bak. Its everythin I expected and more really. I just have one problem that I'm sure has an obvious answer.

Basically, when I load and playback individual samples off the floppy disk they are playing back super sped up. However, if I load a whole kit from the floppy then the samples play at the right speed but this uses all the pads across the 4 banks. This then leads to a worse problem because I now cant choose different samples from different disks as loading up an individual sound onto a pad results in sped up playback lol. I've looked all over the internet for the solution to this problem with no luck and with my lack of experience I cant work out whats wrong. Any help would be great,

thanks legends,

I guess the owner before you sampled at higher speed to get a specific sound and/or save memory

* Load a kit
* Press shift+6 (PROGRAM)
* Press PARAMS
* Hit the pads and look at the parameter "tune:"

I guess most of them are -50 or -52 or so.
If its so you can just turn on the MPC, load a sample, put it on a pad and set the tune to -50. Ok you can set it to whatever you think it sound right/good. No rules here :)
