help if someone can

hi i just purchased an mpc2000xl and i have cakewalk sonar 7 producer edition as well as a midi uno usb installed on my computer. I have a midi cable going out midi A into midi in on my midi uno to my computer. Is this all i need to track out beats on to my computer using cakewalk? Or do I need to purchase a better sound card and or mixer to get back audio and record tracks to my computer? Again i am new and would appreciate any help thanks.

not familiar with that product, but it looks like just a midi port - is that correct?
or does it carry sound as well?

The method should be the same a any regular audio interface with midi In and Out should do the trick.
