CD Rom Saving

What is the chances off using a cd-rom through the SCSI to load sounds and possibly save to??as im having problems with the CF cards and would like a more solid solution for loading and saving!

could you enlighten me on the possibility off hooking up an external floppy drive or a zip drive?..can you save to either if they are connected through the SCSI?...also,how hard and expensive is it to get the necessary components?

do a bit of research yourself, i mean, everybody can hook up a ZIP-drive to a scsi port.
