Hey, I'm just getting my studio started... I've gotten a MPC 1000 so far. I'm tryig to stay away from software (such as Reason 4.0 and FL Studio 8), because I'm more of a "hands on" kind of guy.

What else would compliment my MPC 1000 and my studio??? I was looking at a MINIAK, but I want to make sure I'm starting off right.

JJ OSxl, and good controller.
You will be able to use INST tracks and sound just as good if not better than the Miniak, plus gain lots of functional improvements.

If you really have your heart set on the Miniak just grab a used Micron for about $200.

Would I need a sound module if I got a synthesizer such as the MicroKORG??? And as far as controllers, couldn't the MPC 1000 be a MIDI controller???

You would be good with the Micro Korg. I meant Keyboard midi controller. I just use sounds from my cd and DVD roms to play out with my Axiom 61 midi controller with my MPC 2000 XL.

Okay, thanks... So I'll look for a MIDI controller too.
