Question about akai starting up

A Question about mpc . I know these might be stupid questions, but I would be grateful if someone could set me in the right direction could help me. If I have a sample of a song and wanted to place a drum beat OVER THE sample does an mpc 1000 have drum machine or will I have to connect an mpc to drum machine or download package from internet. Also if you want to sing your lyrics over a sample on your mpc will an mpc record your voice over the sample or will you have to buy a new piece equipment to do this. I would be very grateful for some advice

but if you want you can control any midi equipped drum machine with the mpc

or download package from internet

you can download samples and load them onto the mpc or you can sample drums from records, other drum machines and synths, live drums etc...
