forget the behringer mixer. the only gear you have to hook up is a turntable and the behringer doesn't have a phono pre-amp. either get a better quality studio mixer that also comes with a phono pre-amp or get a dj mixer (me, i'd get a vestax PMC series, two channel mixer).

if you're going to use your computer and a DAW with the MPC -- then you need a way to connect the two. you have two options 1/ get a soundcard (to convert analogue audio to digital, and vice versa) 2/ use the digital in/puts and get an rca cable and spdif convertor cable.

a reason to get a soundcard, rather than just use the digital in/outs on your computer and MPC, is to use the soundcard as a de facto mixer -- with an eight channel soundcard you can connect eight bits of mono external gear, such as mics, synths, and other drum machines etc.

with the soundcard, you also get the option of recording these other synths etc. directly into the computer, without having to sample them into the MPC first. so ask yourself, do you want to sample everything on the mpc, make a beat, then transfer to a DAW for arranging and mixing? or do you want to make a simple beat on the MPC, transfer the beat to the DAW, then play/synths over the top of the beat in the DAW?
