Just ask urself what u need ur equipment to do. What kind of workflow u want to develop, and from there try to find the machine that will fit ur needs. Just go out and check the specs of different machines, read reviews and manuals (they all can be found online).
Taking time and effort for research is the best investment in a studio setup IMO.
