I'm having trouble transfering songs to my computer so i can i convert them to mp3 format. I have the usb cord, and the 128 RAM to record on my mpc. What's my next step to move my songs to the computer. Should i convert my song to one whole sequence. Or in the manual it says a cd recorder, tape recorder, or minidisk. What's the best route.

Step One.) Convert all the sequences you want in the song into one new song sequence (Remember if you have any sequences with certain tracks muted change the "Track Status option on the screen from "Referenced From First Track" to "Mute Tracks Ignored". Like so :

Step 2.) Now your screen should look like this..

(listen to the song first to make sure it sounds how you want it too)

Step 3.) Then hit the last to the right bar button, it should be right above the play start button, to see how long your the song is.

Step 4.) Then hit "MODE" then Pad 5/Record

Step. 5) Then you'll see this screen

Make sure the Input says "MAIN OUT" out or else your song won't get recorded. High light the "Time" option on the screen and fill in the time you should have gotten from the previous step. Hit F6 to prepare the MPC to record, then hit "PLAY START" and let it run it's course.

Step 6.) Name and save your Song/Sample, and hit F5 to keep it if it sounds good to you

Image

Step 7.) Hit "MODE" then hit Pad 3/Save

Image

Step 8.) Highlight your song/sample, and hit F6 to save it to your Compact Flash

Image

Step 9.) When it's done saving it, hit F3 to mount the MPC/Compact Flash Card on your computer

Image

Step 10.) You should see the storage icon for the Compact flash, double click on it

Image

Step 11.) Your song sample should be in there

Image

click on it and drag it to your desktop, or where ever you want its destination to go to.

Image

Step 12.) Bump it.
