Want to connect my Korg M3 to my MPC 2000xl

I have recently purchased a MPC 2000xl SE. I also have a korg M3 that I want to use as well. I want to use the MPC sequencer and track everything into pro-tools from there. I have all the MIDI cables hooked up correctly, but still my MPC will not trigger the Korg when I press the pads. Can someone please tell me what changes to make internally in the Korg or the MPC???

lol nah you aint ruin nuttin pimpn. My main outs are connected to my Mbox Pro just like my main outs of my MPC. I have literally pressed every damn button on the M3 to send and recieve MIDI commands, AND I even made staff members at Guitar Center hook up their rig inside the store. Obviously their rig works perfectly and that kind of pissed me off. I am at a loss now. I'm starting to feel like the M3 has a secret password to work properly...

When they hooked up they rig I would have been looking at the options on the m3 they were tweaking
in order to get midi working.

Your m3 and mpc mains outs are going to your mbox pro correct?

Correct, and I was able to look at their setting and they were exactly like mine...matter fact they didn't even have to press a button on the whole keyboard. I got some advice from a korg technician just a few minutes ago, so Im going to try that..Wish me luck haha
