need basics for 2000 & 3000 operation

i need some serious help. i own a mpc 4000. never messed with a 2000 or 3000 before, and upon being introduced to them realized they are completely different then the 4000. i'm a intern at a studio where most ppl use 2000, and the inhouse uses a 3000. i just want to know what are some basics like how to get sound out of the 2000 & 3000 from disk. how to sync them to protools (moreso how to slave them). and any other things that are must to know.

i'm not trying to master either machines, i simply want to better understand them so that i can be more efficent.

haha first goto www.akaipro.com and get manuals. they are in the download section in archives. then read these forums. Do a search adn u will find all the questions u just asked there. These quests are asked every day, so there is more then enough answers if u do a lil searching.
