Couple questions:

Does the mpc1000 have any sounds straight from the box?

Whats needed in order for me to use some of my keyboards onboard sounds and sequence them on my mpc as well as sequence my drums on the mpc. By this I mean what cables do I need and how does everything need to be connected to get this working properly. Keep in mind that my keyboard is fairly old and it has sounds ranging from trumpets, to piano sounds, to strings, and also acts as a midi controller.

I have a fast track pro audio interface, a pair of studio headphones, and a laptop with windoes 7. Please refer to the connectivity towards my gear.

thanks in advance.

Every mpc has to have its sounds loaded into memory. Whatever sounds those might be is determind solely by the user.

And you'll need midi cables to connect each piece of gear starting with your keyboard & the audio interface.

Midi out from keyboard to midi in fast track pro. Midi out fast track pro to midi in on the mpc. Midi out from the mpc to midi in on the keyboard.

You'll have to toggle between midi channels to get your individual sounds.
